True Fox Roofing inspects and provides a full damage report. We will give our professional opinion on the next steps for filing a claim.
True Fox Roofing will advise that a claim be filed. We can help make the claim call with you, as they will have questions for us as well as the Homeowner. If the Homeowner would like to file a claim on their own True Fox will give damage information and hail date to provide to the insurance.
Upon filing a claim, an adjuster will contact you within 24-48 hours to schedule an adjustment. Homeowner then lets True Fox Roofing know the time and date of adjustment. It is important to have a contractor on sight for the adjustment to help with the inspection of damage.
Once the adjustment is complete, the adjuster assigned will provide a Summary of loss (SOL). The summary of loss will include each line item with a price attached to it, depreciation will be withheld, and an overall price for the damaged dwellings. There will also be a summary page that explains how the money is going to be transferred and delegated.
Upon receiving the SOL, the Homeowner will then provide the loss statement to the contractor for review. During the review True Fox Roofing will go line by line to ensure that the insurance is paying for everything that was damaged by the storm.
Once the review is complete True Fox Roofing will schedule an appointment with Homeowner to scope the project and explain the summary of loss. Here is where the Homeowner can decide what work they want completed, Colors, Style, Special Instructions, ETC..
During tear off, True Fox Roofing may come across items that were not on the SOL due to unforeseen circumstances. For example : an extra layer of felt, space decking, drip edge, and ice & water are the most common supplements. True Fox Roofing will document the supplements and send it to the insurance with a price point for them to pay.
** This is not the homeowner responsibility! In most cases insurance companies will approve and pay supplemental items.
Project is completed once the Homeowner and True Fox Roofing do a complete and thorough walk through of project together and a Certificate of Completion is signed.
True Fox Roofing will write a final invoice which will include any and all supplements that may have occurred and send it to the insurance company. The Insurance Company will review and approve the invoice, once approved they will release the final check with supplements added to it.
